About the Alabama Fishing Atlas
The Atlas is a directory and reference for fishing Alabama's public water — lakes, rivers, species, regulations, guides, ramps, and bait shops, all in one place. It's built to answer the question you actually have: where do I go, what's biting, and who do I call.
How we build this
Every lake, ramp, and regulation on this site is sourced from official state and federal data — the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), the USGS, and NOAA — plus first-hand research, not scraped listings. Photography comes from Wikimedia Commons under proper attribution; we don't use AI-generated images.
Guide and business listings are neutral: no booking fee, no Atlas commission, no pay-to-play ranking. We don't publish pricing, response-time promises, or guarantees that aren't ours to make. If we don't have real data on something, we leave it out rather than make it up.
